  • Anne of green gables and ice cream... That's how you know I'm ill.

Travel Journal from Thailand Chiang Mai, Thailand | Fri Jun 22, 2012

I want to start with a bit of a moan... So I'm sorry about this. I have another ear infection... I know right, the story of my life is it not?! I'm actually in quite a bit of discomfort with this one as I've had about a week or so's break from infected ears, I should've known  it wouldn't last long. I can hardly hear out of my left ear …

I've got a horrible feeling the next few weeks are going to go mega quick as well! :( We've got 3 Australian girls volunteering with us for a week, it's been really nice because they seem quite similar to me... They talk a lot! Haha.I've been trying to mentally get in the best mindset I can while …

Travel Journal from Thailand Chiang Mai, Thailand | Sat Jun 16, 2012

A busy day it's been at cosa today. Weekends are always busier because the girls are around all day and we also have kids from the community coming in to join in our sessions. I ran an art therapy session with our cosa girls today which they seemed to really enjoy. I got the girls to each draw their self portrait and then we made a massive collage out of …

Travel Journal from Thailand Chiang Mai, Thailand | Thu Jun 14, 2012

I've been in Thailand 2 weeks today and I can't believe how quickly it's all going now. :( although it does feel like I've been here a lot longer. Another beautiful day has begun here at cosa and there are once again more achievements that the girls make each day. One in particular which I wanted to share with you about. I feel a bit anxious about this one because it's …

To all those travelling to the Philippines let me just tell you that as soon as possible change one of your P500 or P1000 notes and get some 20, 50 and 100 Peso notes. Try and do this before you get a taxi for example because many taxi drivers will say they do not have change and you will end up paying far too much for your taxi ride. Also, when travelling by taxi always use a metre taxi and make sure that they switch it on so you don't get ripped off!
